TRIBAL ALCOHOL LAWS.
When you know the law, it works for you.

In 2011, the North Carolina General Assembly authorized the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians to establish its own Tribal ABC Commission to serve the members of the Tribe and offer economic development opportunities. At that time, the Tribe adopted the provisions of Chapter 18B of the North Carolina General Statutes in accordance with N.C.G.S. 18B-112. Additionally, the Tribal ABC Commission was required to adopt the rules of the North Carolina ABC Commission. The result is that permittees, both on and off Tribal Lands, are subject to the same laws and rules, ensuring equality and parity for permittees living on and off the Qualla Boundary.
